A permanent ID card is required to use the Transfer Station facility.  This numbered card may be obtained by residents, one per household, at the Township office at a cost of $6.00, with yearly updates of $5.00.  There is a $10.00 fee charged if the card is lost.

Residents must present their card to the compactor operator and make payment PRIOR to dumping. 

PLEASE REMEMBER TO COVER ALL LOADS GOING TO THE COMPACTOR TO PROTECT NOT ONLY OUR ENVIRONMENT BUT ALSO OTHER CITIZENS FROM THE POSSIBILITY OF FLYING DEBRIS!!!

**If it has been certified with sticker stating that the Freon has been removed or is gone. If you have a refrigerator or freezer that is or is not certified that the Freon is gone or has been removed, contact KMR (Kalamazoo Metal Recyclers) located at 1525 King Highway (269) 381-1315. They will accept them for free. Contact them directly for up to date rates.

Household Hazardous Waste Disposal
 
Comstock Township participates in the household hazardous waste program through Kalamazoo County. This service is available to Comstock Township residents at NO CHARGE.   Items accepted for disposal, free of charge, at the County, are as follows:
