Snow Removal

It's that time again...

... the snow has arrived in the Kalamazoo area again. Since we can't stop the snow from coming, we feel it is important to inform our citizens of the procedure used by the Kalamazoo County Road Commission for snow plowing/removal. The following is the order in which KCRC plows our roads:
  1. All primary roads (ie. Sprinkle Rd.)
  2. All secondary roads (ie. North 26th St., ML Ave. etc...)
  3. All Township plats (Fleetwood Plat, East Main Homesites, etc...)

Please be aware that roads such as Gull Road, King Highway/M96, and I94 are State Roads. These roads are maintained by MDOT (Michigan Department of Transportation). All concerns with these roads should be addressed directly with MDOT (269) 337.3900.

We ask that you be patient as no one will be "forgotten". All roads will eventually be plowed but regardless of the snow that continues to pile up, the order will continue as stated above.
